Eating culture

There are many different things between the USA and Korea. In Korea, we do not eat before the oldest person eats. When we have a meal between friends, we do not have any rules like that. Another different thing is a server who works in a restaurant is quite friendly in America. However the server is very formal to customers in Korea. I think the most different thing is we do not have tip culture in Korea. We have to pay a 15% service charge in America, so when I came here I felt strange. Food style is very different, so we use chopsticks, but the Americans use forks. Also Koreans do not use knife much. Finally, we do not wait to sit when we go to a restaurant, we just sit anywhere, and then we call a server to order foods. But in the USA, we must wait to sit, and then we wait again to order our foods.
